WE CARE

We are our choices.
At Bali Soap, we believe that our future success is determined by our daily choices. We take great pride in what we do and how we do it. We’re deeply committed to making skincare products that don’t harm the environment or your well-being. We also acknowledge that this is a process and that by incorporating this goal into our company’s vision and mission, it will help us thrive and make better decisions going into the future.

We believe in making safe, natural products that are good for you and kind to our planet.
We believe animal rights matter. We never test on animals (aside from ourselves and our eager staff and friends).
We believe in sourcing responsibly, sustainably and locally whenever possible.
We believe in the ethical treatment of our employees, suppliers and partners.
We believe in being charitable and giving back to our community.

Waste not, want not.
Bali Soap makes a conscious effort to keep our production practices clean and green and our raw materials biodegradable to the utmost possible extent. We run a near zero-waste manufacturing facility. All raw materials go into the making of our products and off-cuts are recycled into subsequent batches. In our soap-making facility, our two-tiered filtration system ensures that all of our post-production wastewater is pH-balanced before disposal.

Think globally, act locally.
Non-profit organization(s). Bali Soap believes that it’s important for us to be globally mindful and locally focused. Waste management has been a mounting challenge in Indonesia fuelled by a lack of infrastructure. It’s our social responsibility to serve our local community.

We give a monthly donation to local charities and non-profit organization dedicated to the environmental conservation and protection of Bali through educational projects and public awareness initiatives.

Sustainability matters.
We use palm and coconut oils as moisturizing plant-based oils in the making of our bar soaps. In 2010, Bali Soap became the first natural soap manufacturer in Indonesia to join GreenPalm, now Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), a non-profit organization that develops and implements sustainable palm oil standards. We purchase RSPO credits to offset our palm oil footprint, support RSPO-certified sustainable palm oil plantation practices and promote awareness for better forestry laws and enforcement.
